Dr. Kevin Boyack

Kevin Boyack is a visiting researcher at Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University in the Netherlands through May 2017. He also serves as president of SciTech Strategies, Inc., a small U.S. company that pursues research in a variety of topics in scientometrics. His current interests include detailed mapping of the structure and dynamics of science, technology, and altruism; accuracy of mapped structures; merging of multiple data types and sources; identification and prediction of emerging topics and development of advanced metrics. Kevin received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University in Utah, and spent many years at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico working on traditional engineering topics before becoming a scientometrics researcher.
