Kathleen Gregory is a researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University in the Netherlands. She holds a PhD (cum laude) in Science & Technology Studies, a Master of Science in Library and Information Science, and a Master of Arts in Education. Kathleen’s research focuses on critically investigating scholarly communication practices and infrastructures, including those related to open science, research data, and peer review. After completing her PhD in 2021, Kathleen conducted postdoctoral work at the University of Vienna and at the Scholarly Communications Lab at the University of Ottawa. Kathleen’s work has been used to generate practical applications for computer scientists, data stewards and policymakers, such as recommendations for the development of responsible data metrics and for data discovery systems. Kathleen’s work has appeared in journals such as the Harvard Data Science Review and the Journal of the Association of Information Science and Technology. She is a member of the Research Data Alliance, the Association for Information Science and Technology, and the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology.
