Sonia is a research assistant at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS). She is currently involved in the RISIS project (Research infrastructure for research and innovation policy studies) and KNOWMAK (Knowledge in the making in the European Society), which aims to develop a web-based tool, providing a visualization and state-of-the-art indicators on knowledge co-creation in the European research area.
She holds a MSc degree in Geography (2014) and a Bachelor in Ecology and Landscape (2004). Sonia has worked for the public sector and consulting firms in Chile, performing water management and Environmental Impact Assessment. Additionally, collaborates as a researcher for the Geography Department of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), developing projects about Disaster Risk Management and Water sanitation.
