Tjitske Holtrop is a postdoctoral researcher at CWTS. She studies the practices of evaluation: how are questionnaires made, what do numbers do, how are reports written or what happens in meetings? Trained as an anthropologist she studies how evaluation gets done, what kind of resources and people they mobilize, and what kinds of practices, collectives and ideas of accountability, change and quality they make possible. Her PhD project was about the evaluation of the Dutch civil-military mission in Afghanistan. Currently she is designing a project on experimentation in e/valuation.
Tjitske is a member of the Engagement & Inclusions focal area and a member of the Evaluation & Culture focal area.
