The 2019 edition of the CWTS Scientometrics Spring School will be hosted by Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. By organizing the next edition in China, CWTS aims to contribute to global scientometric education. It facilitates young scholars from Asia to follow high quality doctoral level training in the field of scientometrics.
CWTS continues to offer unique opportunities for doctoral training in scientometrics through its spring school. Although it focuses on scientometrics, it also places the study of science within a broader theoretical perspective. At the same time, participants are introduced to practical applications in interactive sessions. The spring school closes by critically examining the role of scientometrics in the research system.
The broad coverage of topics ensures that participants in the spring school get a good overview of the field.
